Unreality and artificiality – these seem to be the passwords of the paintings – worlds of Dmytro Kavsana, whose motifs perhaps relate only to canvases of gigantic, sometimes titanic scale. The parallel existence of many planes, three of which appear in the most vividly manifested form, only emphasizes the schematic and conventional nature of the “exit from,” beyond which it would seem there is nothing more to be seen. But no… The artist leaves and reveals. He is almost classical in his Renaissance approach to revealing a marvelous window-well – a salvation for human souls.Comment type: Published comment
