In 2006, Triumph presented the works of one of the most famous contemporary artists Damien Hirst to the Moscow audience for the first time, and a year later the gallery held a solo exhibition of the scandalous Jake and Dinos Chapman.
The gallery supports young art within its own project Launchpad. The Triumphoto project shows exhibitions of photographic artists three times a year, and the gallery’s seasonal project “Method” presents dual exhibitions of artists who work with the same media or use similar techniques and visual methods.
In addition to projects in its own space, Triumph curates major exhibitions in Russia and abroad, as well as supports young art. Since 2013, together with the Manege Moscow Exhibition Hall and the MediaArtLab Culture Center, the gallery has organized exhibitions of media artists within the projects “Great Expectations” and “Fathers and Sons.” In 2013, the gallery founded the interdisciplinary scientific-artistic project “Department of Research Arts“. In 2015, together with MMOMA, the gallery holds exhibitions within the “Young Lions” project.
In 2015, the Triumph Gallery presented solo exhibitions of AES+F and Recycle Group as part of the parallel program of the 56th Venice Biennale of Contemporary Art.
In 2016, the Triumph Gallery presented a series of EXTENSION exhibitions, which showcase the current art scene of different countries around the world. In 2016, the gallery will host group exhibitions of artists from Romania, South Korea, Iran, and Estonia. The EXTENSION project appeals to artists whose works have vivid local elements and, at the same time, are integrated into the general context of contemporary art. Each EXTENSION exhibition will introduce viewers either to well-known names that can be found at international biennales and leading world museums, or to young art and new trends.Name: Triumph Gallery
