Biography
1948

Born in Irpin, Kyiv region, Ukrainian SSR.

1967

Graduated from the Kyiv Art and Industrial Technical School (reorganized in 1999 into the Kyiv State Institute of Decorative and Applied Arts and Design named after Mykhailo Boychuk), which was located on the territory of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra (Kyiv, Ukrainian SSR).

1977

Graduated from the Lviv State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts (now — Lviv National Academy of Arts) specializing in "art glass" (Lviv, Ukrainian SSR).

1984

Graduated from the Higher Two-Year Directing and Screenwriting Courses in Moscow, workshop of Andrei Tarkovsky (Moscow, RSFSR).

1986

Director of the feature film "Full Moon" based on the novella by Valeriy Shevchuk "Miss Sotnikova" (Oleksandr Dovzhenko Kyiv Film Studio, Ukrainian SSR).

 

1989

Director of the feature film "The Clockmaker and the Chicken" based on Ivan Kocherha's play "Masters of Time" (Oleksandr Dovzhenko Kyiv Film Studio, Ukrainian SSR).

 

1992

Director of the auteur video film "Collage" (film studio "Ukrtelofilm", Kyiv, Ukraine).

1994

Scholarship holder of the Christoph Merian Stiftung program, IAAB (International Artists Exchange Program) (Basel, Switzerland).
