Anatoliy Gankevich and Oleg Migas once again return to the theme of connections between Ukraine and Italy – their cycle of paintings was based on the imitation of Roman (or Florentine) mosaics. Some works reproduced classic Dutch still lifes with significant enlargement and supposedly in mosaic technique. In fact, it was a laborious and meticulous imitation using oil painting on canvas.Comment type: Published comment
