“Among the most radical acts, “physically” and “morally” destroying the exhibition, should be counted the scandalous “Kyiv Art Meeting” of Ukrainian, Russian, and Polish authors, all in the same Ukrainian House (November 1995). After all, as is known, on the appointed day of the exhibition opening, which coincided with the solemn assembly on the occasion of the National Guard Day, it was precisely with the white gloves of the National Guardsmen, by someone’s official sanction, that the most “heretical” items were removed from the exhibition. Participants of that never-held “meeting” from the Russian side, besides “AES”, “FENSO”, T. Liberman, A. Belyaev, who brought quite sharp works to Kyiv, were also O. Kulik and A. Osmolovsky – apologists of the “art of resistance”.” [Solovyov A. Art of Ukraine in the 90s (Reflections).
